The national industry association, which represents the interests of Canadian aquaculture operators, feed companies and suppliers, as well as provincial finfish and Shellfish aquaculture associations. CAIA is an advocator of support for Canadian aquaculture in federal polices and programs, the national aquaculture development strategy, public and political support, and funding.
The objectives of the AAC include supporting an aquaculture industry in Canada, promoting the study of aquaculture and related sciences, researching aquaculture information, and public awareness.
Works with industry to enhance the competitiveness in aquaculture, and the seafood processing sectors.
Provides industry specific training for the Canadian seafood processing sector. Industry studies, training courses and news.
